Darpan Admission Portal Registration 2024 Login

The Assam Higher Secondary Council (AHSEC) has introduced the Darpan Online Admission Portal for HS 1st Year Students. This system facilitates online admissions to Intermediate courses in Arts / Science / Commerce offered by various colleges / schools affiliated with and recognised by AHSEC across all districts of Assam.

Eligible students who have successfully cleared the matriculation (HSLC) or equivalent examination conducted by the Assam Board of Secondary (SEBA) or any other recognised national / state boards can apply for admission through the online portal. The DARPAN admission portal made live from 23 April 2024.

Darpan Admission Important Dates :
Date Details
23/04/2024 – 02/05/2024 Submission of online application by applicants.
03/05/2024 – 04/05/2024 Preparation of merit list/waiting list by the institutions.
05/05/2024 (Midnight) Publication of provisional selection list/waiting list (valid up to 10th May 2024).
06/05/2024 – 08/05/2024 Acceptance of admission offer by students.
09/05/2024 – 10/05/2024 Confirmation of admission by institutions in Darpan (online).
08/04/2024 – 19/04/2024 Registration of new institutions and updating institutions’ profile in “Darpan”.
What is Unique Id or PEN number ?

The Personal Enrollment Number (PEN Number) serves as a distinctive identification for students. Those who are aware of this number can input it during their enrollment process on the Darpan portal. However, if students are unsure of their Personal Enrollment Number (PEN Number), it is advised not to fill in this option.

Application for Darpan Admission 2024 :

  1. Login:
    • Students can log in using their Registered Mobile number, Date of Birth, and a 4-digit pin.
  2. New Registration:
    • Click on the “Click here” blue tab to access the Student Registration Form.
    • Fill out the form and click on the “Proceed to Next” button to complete the registration process.
  3. Proceed to Next:
    • After filling out the registration form, click on the “Proceed to Next” button to continue.
  4. Dashboard:
    • Check Admission Offered to view the student’s admission status.
    • View Application Submitted to see the total number of applications submitted.
    • Check Application Left to see the remaining applications.
  5. Colleges:
    • Click on the Colleges tab to view a list of available colleges.
  6. My Applications:
    • Click on the My Applications tab to view the status of submitted applications.
    • Download the acknowledgment receipt by clicking the Acknowledgment Receipt button.

NOTE : If you’ve forgotten your login details, you can use the “Forgot Login Details” option to retrieve them. You can recover your password by providing your registered mobile number.

Documents Needed for DARPAN Admissions :
  1. Passport sized photo.
  2. Class 10th’s Mark sheet.
  3. Extra-curricular certificate in Sports/Cultural/NCC Certificate, as applicable.
  4. Specially-Abled Certificate, as applicable.
  5. Caste Certificate, as applicable.
  6. EWS Certificate, as applicable.
  7. Gap Certificate/Undertaking/Affidavit, as applicable.
For transferring institutions in the first year of high school :
  1. Student Application : Log in to the DARPAN profile and click on the “Application for Transfer” button to apply.
  2. Institution Review : The parent institution will log in to their DARPAN profile to review and either accept or reject the student’s transfer application promptly.
  3. Approval Process : If the application is accepted, the Application-Cum-Recommendation Form will be automatically generated.
  4. Form Submission : Download and print the Application-Cum-Recommendation Form from the DARPAN profile, fill in all required details, and submit it to the New Institution.
  5. Verification and Admission : Upon receiving the filled form, the New Institution will verify the details and complete the admission process in the DARPAN Portal.
  6. Form Downloading Clarification : Downloading the Application-Cum-Recommendation Form does not confirm admission; it signifies the recommendation of the transfer by the parent institution.
  7. Recommendation Confirmation : Generating the Application-Cum-Recommendation Form indicates the parent institution’s approval of the transfer without objection.
  8. Data Removal Process : The student’s data will be removed from the parent institution’s admission list only after completion of admission at the new institution.
  9. Stream and Subject Changes : The New Institution has the authority to change the student’s stream and subjects as per their preference during admission.
  10. Admission Timeline : The entire admission process must be completed within 3 days from the date of generating the Application-Cum-Recommendation Form by the New Institution.

Step Description
STEP-1 Log in to the DARPAN profile and apply for institution change.
– Student must access their DARPAN profile and initiate the application for institution change.
– Download and print the Application Cum Recommendation Letter.
STEP-2 Receive the Recommendation Letter after approval from the current institution.
– After recommendation from the present institution, the student will receive the letter.
STEP-3 Submit the printed copy of the Application Cum Recommendation Letter to the New Institution.
– Hand over the printed recommendation letter to the desired new institution for admission.
For Institutions :

Institutions can review and either accept or decline students’ requests for institution change. If declined, provide appropriate justification for the rejection.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS :
  1. New applicants need to register first before accessing the Admission portal.
  2. Students can log in using their Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Four-Digit PIN.
  3. To recover forgotten login details, students can click on “FORGOT LOGIN DETAILS”.
  4. Students can edit their profile by visiting the PROFILE TAB in the dashboard.
  5. In the Student Dashboard, students can check their admission status, total number of applications submitted, and remaining applications.
  6. Use filter and search options to find and sort Colleges/Schools.
  7. Each student can apply for a maximum of five (5) applications.
  8. View application status in the MY APPLICATIONS Tab.
  9. Download acknowledgment receipt from the My Application tab.
  10. Students can change preferred subjects at the time of admission.
  11. Selection and waiting lists will be prepared and made available in the DARPAN portal. Candidates will be notified via SMS.
  12. After publication of the selection list, candidates can approve only one institution for admission using their login ID. There will be no option to change the institution after approval.
  13. The “DARPAN” portal may reopen for admission of remaining candidates.
DARPAN AHSEC Merit List 2024 :
  • Go to the Important Web Links section.
  • Locate and select the HS 1st Year Darpan Merit List link.
  • You will be directed to the Darpan homepage.
  • Choose the Continue as Students option.
  • Input your registration details, including mobile number, date of birth, and 4-digit PIN used during admission.
  • Find and click on the Selection List link.
  • Download the provided PDF file.
  • The AHSEC 1st Year Admission Merit List 2024 will be presented.
  • Save the document and print a copy for future reference.
