LNMU (BA) Part 1 Admission Online 2024-27

The wait is over for all those students who have eagerly awaiting the commencement of the application process for the first semester, as the LNMU UG Registration 2024-27 has initiated. We will provide you with complete details in this article.

Furthermore, towards the end of this article, we will provide you with some important links so that all students can apply easily and without any hindrance using these links.

 

Instructions for Candidates : LNMU Admission 2024

1. Online Application Process:

  • Submit applications online along with necessary documentation.
  • Pay the application fee online.
  • Application fee is non-refundable.2. Required Documents:
  • Mark sheet and admit card of qualifying exam.
  • CLC and Character Certificate from the last attended institution.
  • Reservation Category Certificate and Domicile Certificate (if applicable).
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable).
  • Income and Asset Certificate for Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
  • Migration Certificate from (if applicable).
  • Four self-attested Passport size photographs.
  • Any other document required by the /College.

3. Application Process Details:

  • Visit the specified website to create a user account.
  • Enter details accurately and verify the information displayed.
  • Proceed to fill the application form carefully, following all instructions.
  • Upload scanned copies of required documents.
  • Review the filled application and proceed to payment.
  • After successful payment, download and print two copies of the completed application.

Document Checklist for LNMU Admission:

1. Bachelor degree exam mark sheet
2. Bachelor degree exam admit card
3. College Leaving Certificate (CLC) and Character Certificate from the last attended institution
4. Reservation Category Certificate (issued in Father’s Name) and Domicile Certificate (if applicable) provided by the competent authority
5. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable) issued in the name of the applicant by the competent authority
6. Income and Asset Certificate for Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
7. Migration Certificate from the (if applicable)
8. Four self-attested Passport size photographs
9. Any additional documents required by the /College

Eligibility Criteria
BA Honours – Candidates must have qualified Class XII in the concerned subject. – They must have secured a minimum of 45% of marks.
BCom Honours – Students should have qualified Class XII with Commerce Subjects. – They must have studied Accountancy, Business Studies, and Entrepreneurship/Economics. – Minimum 45% of Marks.
BSc Honours – Candidates who have completed their Class XII in Science stream must have secured 45% of marks in aggregate. – Aspirants of BSc Honours must have qualified Class XII in the concerned Subject.       – Required minimum percentage of marks is 45% in aggregate.
BA General – Seekers of admission into BA General Course must be qualified in their Class XII in any discipline.
BCom General – Candidates seeking admission in BCom General Course should be qualified in Class XII.  If students of Science and Arts Stream seek admission into BCom General, then they must have obtained 45% of marks in aggregate.
BSc General – Aspirants of BSc General must have qualified in Class XII.

For admission to the M.Sc. program :

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Option (i): Obtained a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) with 45% marks in the respective Honours subject/major/core course.
Option (ii): Achieved a Bachelor’s degree with 55% marks in the Subsidiary/Pass course/Allied subject.

Admission Procedure: Admission to the M.Sc. course will be based on either the marks obtained in the Bachelor’s Degree course or performance in the PET/H.

Entrance Test Structure: The entrance test will consist of:

  • Multiple choice questions with four options and a single correct answer.
  • The test will be conducted on an OMR sheet with a duration of 2.5 hours.
  • Total marks: 200
  • No negative marking
  • The question paper will have two parts: Part A – General Aptitude Test (50 marks, 50 questions) and Part B – Subject test (150 marks, 75 questions).

Application Fee: The application fee for M.Sc. courses will be Rs. 750, which includes the fee for the admission test (if applicable). The application fee may be revised as per the recommendation of the Academic Council and approval of the statutory bodies of the respective university.

Seat Availability: The number of seats for each subject will be determined by the respective following the guidelines provided by the State Government.

Reservation Policy: Reservation of seats in each course will be in accordance with the reservation rules of the Government of Bihar.

Admission to M.A. Part-1 (First Semester):

1. Eligibility:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) with Honours in the respective subject, subsidiary subject, pass course, or allied subject.
  • Preference is given to those with the subject as an Honours/Major/Core course.

2. Admission Procedure:

  • Merit-based admission.
  • Merit list prepared based on marks obtained in the Bachelor’s Degree course or
  • Entrance test : Entrance test organised by the , named as “Name of the respective -Postgraduate Entrance Test in the Faculty of Humanities” (e.g., PUPETAL).

3. For M.A. admission:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) with 45% marks in the respective core course.
  • Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as per Bihar Government’s orders.

4. Reserved seats include:

  • Two seats for distinguished sports achievers.
  • Two seats for distinguished Fine Arts achievers.
  • Two seats for NCC-C Certificate holders.
  • Two seats for NSS Certificate holders representing the /State.
  • Reservation for sons/daughters/spouse of Military/Defence Personnel.
  • Reservation for sons/daughters of university teachers.
  • Reservation for sons/daughters of university non-teaching staff.
  • Seats for NRI/Foreign candidates, above the normal sanctioned strength, with MEA recommendation.
  • Candidates must specify their category and provide supporting documents during admission application submission. Separate applications later will not be entertained.
