Applications for admission for the Bachelor’s degree program (2024-2028) will accepted from April 30, 2024, to May 12, 2024. Students can apply for admission while viewing the subject-wise seat availability of the respective colleges. VKSU Admission Instructions :
- Applicants can obtain all information related to online applications from the university’s website.
- As per UGC guidelines, it is mandatory for all applicants seeking admission for the session 2024-2028 to provide their Aadhaar number.
- Applicants should enter their Aadhaar number in the designated space on the application form.
- Admission will ensured only after verification of original copies of marksheets / class / category, and other documents as indicated in the application form.
- Admission will not granted by the respective college if the documents are not available or deemed invalid at the time of admission.
- There will no opportunity for correction in the application after payment. Therefore, applicants must thoroughly verify all information before making the payment.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor’s Program Admission :
Undergraduate Science (UG Science):
- Applicants must have passed the Intermediate examination (I.Sc.) or +2 Science Stream conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent examinations from other recognized National/State Boards.
UG Commerce (UG Commerce):
- Candidates should have cleared the Intermediate examination (I.A./I.Sc./I.Com) or +2 from the Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent examinations offered by other recognized National/State Boards.
Undergraduate Arts (UG Arts):
- Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination (I.A./I.Sc./I.Com) or +2 from the Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent examinations offered by other recognized National/State Boards.
Reservation Policies :
- Reservation of seats in the Bachelor program follows Bihar government-approved rules.
- If any submitted document is found to fake during admission, the admission will canceled, and the deposited fee will forfeited.
- The University may deny admission or remove a candidate from the roll if it’s in the University’s best interest.
- Candidates cannot register for another degree program in the same or any other University during the same academic session.
- Students failing to appear in the End Semester Examination after attending all courses must appear in the subsequent examination by paying the required fee.
- Students with less than 75% attendance in any course must repeat it in the next examination by paying the necessary fee.
- Semester registration is mandatory before the start of the next semester.
- Minor changes in the ordinance and regulations can made by the Academic Council for academic improvement.
- Any aspect not covered in the present ordinance is governed by the general ordinance of the University.

Diploma: After completing I, II, III, & IV Semesters and earning full credits, students will awarded UG Diploma only if they take one Vocational Course of 4 Credits (during Summer Vacation). | Bachelor of Science/Arts/Commerce (Hons.) | Exit option: A student may awarded a 3-year UG in the Major & Minor discipline, provided they earn all credits of I, II, III, IV, V & VI Semesters. |
| Bachelor of Science/Arts/Commerce (Hons. with Research) | A student will awarded Degree in UG Honours Major and Minor if they earn all the credits of I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII & VIII Semesters. Students who want UG Degree Honours with Research in Major must obtain 7.5 CGPA and above in Semesters I to VI. Such Students can choose a research stream in the fourth year if they earn (80 Credits, including 12 credit from a research project/dissertation. They will awarded UG Degree (Honours with Research). |
Admission Entrance Test Booklet :
- The Admission Entrance Test Booklet comprises 100 multiple-choice questions.
- Part A: 40 questions covering General Knowledge, General Aptitude, and Numerical Aptitude.
- Part B: 60 questions from Humanities and Social Science.
- Part C: 60 questions from Science subjects (for Science Stream only).
- Part D: 60 questions from Commerce subjects.
- Part A is common for all candidates, while students can choose one from Part B, Part C, or Part D based on their preference.
- A Common merit list will prepared, and students can select a program from the University’s offerings according to their preference.
- Students must indicate their choices, and program allocation will based on merit and preference.
- The duration of the test is two hours.
- Candidates must apply online through the University’s web portal and pay the specified fee mentioned in the advertisement notice.
- Applicants must upload supporting documents as per the application requirements.
- Admission will not granted to candidates who fail to apply within the specified period.
