The Veer Gatha 4.0 program honors the bravery and sacrifices of gallantry award winners in an effort to foster in pupils a feeling of civic duty and patriotism. This project, which was started by the Ministry of Defense in partnership with the Ministry of , invites students in classes 3 through 12 to participate in a variety of artistic endeavors that offer insights into the lives and accomplishments of these inspirational individuals.

Along with paying tribute to these courageous souls, participants will develop their own ideas of bravery and selflessness via poetry, essays, paintings, and multimedia presentations. Registration for Veer Gatha 4.0 is facilitated through the MyGov portal, making it accessible for schools and students nationally.

Key Features of Veer Gatha 4.0

• Collaboration : The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Ministry of (MoE) are working together on this initiative.
• Awareness Programs : Schools across the country will host virtual and in-person sessions to promote knowledge about gallantry awardees.
• Activities : Students will engage in various artistic and interdisciplinary activities such as writing poems, essays, creating paintings, and producing multimedia presentations.

Categories and Timelines

• Activity Timelines:
  • 17.09.2024 to 05.10.2024 : Interactions with gallantry award winners and school-level activities will take place.
  • 16.09.2024 to 15.10.2024: Schools can upload one top entry for each of the four categories to the MyGov portal.
    • Category-1 : Class 3 to 5 – 1 entry
    • Category-2 : Class 6 to 8 – 1 entry
    • Category-3 : Class 9 to 10 – 1 entry
    • Category-4 : Class 11 to 12 – 1 entry
  • 17.10.2024 to 10.11.2024 : Nodal Officers will evaluate entries at the district level, with the best forwarded to state/UT levels.

17th Oct – 10th Nov 2024	District level evaluation of entries by District Level Nodal Officers. Best entries forwarded to State/UT Level Nodal Officers via MyGov Portal.
12th Nov – 30th Nov 2024	Evaluation of entries at State/UT level. Best entries submitted to MoE for National Level Evaluation. Confirmation of genuineness and originality of entries required.
4th Dec – 24th Dec 2024	National Level evaluation by committee constituted by MoE.
