Nativity :
  • Tamil Nadu candidates who completed X, XI, & XII in Tamil Nadu are eligible.
  • Candidates from Tamil Nadu who completed X, XI, & XII outside the state need a “Nativity Certificate.”
  • Children of Central Government Employees in Tamil Nadu for the past three years can apply.
  • Sons and daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre Officers are eligible.
  • Employees in Tamil Nadu’s Public Sector / Government recognized institutions for the past three years can apply with employer certification.
  • Other State candidates who completed X, XI, & XII in Tamil Nadu are eligible without a “Nativity Certificate.”
  • Proper employer certificates are required for certain categories, and nativity documentation is necessary for specific cases.
Qualifying Examinations and Eligibility :
  • Higher Secondary Course (HSC) Academic stream or Vocational stream pass with 10+2 years of schooling is required.
  • Minimum average percentage criteria apply for eligibility.
  • Eligible subject groups include Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; Physics, Chemistry, Biology with elective subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.

Allocation of Seats :

Selection Categories :
  • Seats allocated under seven categories: OC, BC, BC (Muslim), MBC / DNC, SC, SCA, and ST, following Tamil Nadu Government’s reservation rules.
  • 5% of total seats reserved for Industry Sponsorship Quota and 5% for Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture programs.
  • 5% of total seats reserved for differently abled persons according to Government norms.
Communal Reservations :
  • Tamil Nadu native candidates considered for communal reservations.
  • Community certificate requirements specified for candidates from Tamil Nadu State.
  • Community certificates from other states not accepted for communal reservation.
  • For district-linked communities, certificates must be obtained from respective districts, except for specific cases mentioned in G.O. (st) No. 95 BC, MBC & Minorities Welfare Department dt: 28.10.2009.

Selection Process :
  • Candidates must choose their preferred degree program and college during the online application.
  • Selection for general reservation candidates is via online counselling.
  • Allotment based on rank, community, and preferences made during application.
  • Shortlisted candidates notified via SMS and email.
  • Counseling fee of Rs. 3000/- (Rs. 1500/- for SC / SCA / ST) must be paid to participate in online counselling.
  • Candidates can modify their preferences once during online counselling.
  • Final choice determines seat allotment based on merit and communal reservations.
  • Candidates not allotted seats in the first round may be considered in subsequent rounds.

Attendance and Documents :

Counselling Process :

  • Choice made during counselling is final and cannot be changed.

Option Implication Remarks

Not got chance A candidate has no available seats to select in any degree / college during counselling. The candidate will be called for subsequent counselling rounds if vacancies arise.
Scholarships at Annamalai :
I. First Graduate Tuition Fee Concession :
  • Eligible candidates can avail tuition fee concession if they are the first graduate in their family.
  • Submission of a prescribed certificate from the Deputy Tahsildar and a joint declaration by the applicant and parent/guardian is required.
  • Applicants are ineligible if their siblings have already availed this concession for professional courses.
II. Post Matric Scholarship :
  • Available to SC / SCA / ST candidates and SC / SCA converted Christians with parental annual income below specified thresholds.
  • Submission of income certificate from appropriate authorities is necessary.
III. Higher Special Scholarship :
  • Awarded to hostel students from SC / SCA / ST and Converted Christian categories with an annual income not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000/-.
IV. BC / MBC / DNC Categories Scholarship :
  • Available for students from BC / MBC / DNC categories with parental income not exceeding Rs. 2,00,000/- per annum.
