Odisha’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto for the assembly polls due in the state and this has a fresh scheme that is called Odisha Subhadra Yojana. Like the already existing program of Chhattisgarh Mahtari Vandana Yojana, this program also seeks to offer monetary support to women. Accompanying the Odisha Subhadra Yojana or the women’s financial assistance will be a Rs 50,000 voucher, which the women can use over two years.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its platform for the upcoming Odisha assembly elections. In a move similar to the Mahatari Vandana Yojana in Chhattisgarh, the BJP has introduced a new scheme called the Odisha Subhadra Yojana, aimed at providing financial support to women. Odisha will conduct its assembly elections alongside the Lok Sabha elections.

Odisha Subhadra Yojana launched Today the New Rules for the Scheme has been released :
- Guidelines Unveiled : The Odisha Subhadra Yojana was come up by the Chief Minister, Mohan Majhi and the guidelines were released.
- Eligibility: The program shall target women with between twenty one and sixty years of age.
- Financial Assistance: For five years every qualified woman will be given Rs 10,000 per a year.
Payment Schedule : - First Installment : Rs 5,000 credited back to customers on Rakhi Purnima.
- Second Installment : The response was simple: Rs 5,000 credited on March 8, International Women’s Day.
- Disbursement Method : Benefit will be given through digital mode by utilising the process of DBT so that money will be credited to beneficiary’s account.
Objectives of Odisha Subhadra Yojana 2024 :
- Part of BJP’s “Sankalp Patra” (election manifesto) for the upcoming state elections.
- Aims to empower women through financial support.
- Women can cash the voucher over a two-year period for family use.
