The Punjab State Board (PSEB) has formally announced the date of the PSTET 2024 exam, which is scheduled for December 1, 2024. The purpose of this exam is to find qualified applicants for teaching posts in Punjab’s government-sponsored primary and upper primary schools. Online registration via the official website, pstet.pseb.ac.in, opened on October 16, 2024.

Interested applicants may apply online for the PSTET Exam 2024 if they meet the requirements for teaching courses I through V and VI through VIII. Although the exam date is set, the PSEB has not yet made public the official announcement outlining the particular prerequisites for Paper I and Paper II. PSTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria :

The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) is held every year by the Punjab Department. It includes two papers, each with its own eligibility rules :

PSTET Paper 1 Eligibility Criteria :

• Citizenship: Must an Indian citizen.
• Age: At least 18 years old.
• : Must have completed 12th grade.
• Diploma: Must hold a two-year Diploma in Elementary (D.El.Ed./ETT Course).
• Current Enrollment: Applicants should in their final year of the diploma program.

Check PSTET Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria :

• Citizenship: Must an Indian citizen.
• Age: At least 18 years old.
• : Must have completed a bachelor’s degree.
• Degree: Must have a two-year Bachelor of (B.Ed).
• Current Enrollment: Applicants should in their final year of the B.Ed program.

PSTET 2024 Online Registration :

• Registration Start Date: Expected to begin in October 2024. Instructions:
• Register using your email and mobile number only once.
• Log in with your email to finish the application process.
• Provide basic information, upload a photo/signature, and fill in academic and test details.

How to Fill the PSTET 2024 Application Form ?

• Go to the official PSTET website: pstet.pseb.ac.in.
• Click on “New Registration.”

• Log in to your account after creating your ID.
• Complete the application form, attach necessary documents, and pay the application fees.
• Click the preview button to check your application.
• Submit your application to complete the registration.

Application Fee :

• General Category: ₹1000 for each paper (Paper 1 and Paper 2).
• SC, ST, and Differently Abled Candidates: ₹500 for each paper.
• Out-of-State Candidates: Considered in the General Category, fees are ₹1000 for each paper. Note: The registration fee cannot refunded or transferred.

PSTET al Qualifications :

For Paper 1 :

Candidates who want to become primary teachers must meet these educational requirements. Not meeting these criteria may lead to cancellation of the application.

Secondary Qualification :

• At least 45% marks in Secondary (or equivalent) and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary (D.El.Ed.), as per NCTE rules.

Senior Secondary Qualification :

• At least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or equivalent) and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary (B.El.Ed).
• At least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or equivalent) and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in (Special ).

Graduates :

• Candidates with graduation and at least 50% marks along with a Bachelor of (B.Ed) can apply. They must also complete a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary approved by NCTE within two years of being appointed.

For Paper 2 :

Candidates looking to teach in the upper primary section must have the following educational qualifications:

Diploma Requirement :

• Graduation and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary .

B.Ed Requirement :

• Graduation with at least 50% marks and either passing or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in (B.Ed).
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and either passing or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed, as per NCTE guidelines.

Senior Secondary Qualification :

• At least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or equivalent) and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed.
• At least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or equivalent) and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Special :

• Graduation with at least 50% marks and either passing or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed (Special ).

Any candidate with a recognized B.Ed program approved by NCTE is eligible for the TET exam.

PSTET 2024 Syllabus :

1. PSEB decides the PSTET 2024 syllabus each year, which is different for both papers.

2. Candidates need to look over the syllabus carefully to know the key topics that will on the exam. This will help them prepare better.

PSTET 2024 Admit Card :

• The PSTET 2024 admit card for both papers will available on the official website.
• It will show important details like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date and time, exam location, and instructions for the exam day.
• Candidates can download the admit card by signing in with their registration details.
• It is expected to ready 7-10 days before the exam.

PSTET 2024 Answer Key :

After the exam, the PSTET Answer Key will released.
