Poly ( Polytechnic ) Admission 2024 – www.polyadmission.org 2024 Courses, Lateral Entry

In the second week of June 2024, the Department of Technical (DoTE), Kerala, will release the notification for admission to Polytechnic Diploma courses. Following this, the registration process will commence. Interested students aiming for admission in any polytechnic course for the academic year 2024-25 can apply by visiting the official website at polyadmission.org. It’s essential to note that admission will based on SSLC marks, and no entrance exam will conducted. Therefore, candidates aspiring for admission in diploma courses in Kerala should ensure timely registration before the deadline.

The last date for One-time registration fee remittance is 30th May 2024.

Eligibility for Admission :
  • Candidate must a citizen of India.
  • Candidates categorized as Keralite or Non-Keralite for admission to Polytechnic Colleges.
  • Keralite candidates eligible for various reservations and fee concessions upon meeting specific criteria.
  • Non-Keralite candidates not eligible for certain reservations or fee concessions.
  • Must have passed +2 / equivalent examination/VHSE with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Minimum 50% score required in Physics, Mathematics, and other relevant mandatory additional courses for +2 / VHSE candidates.
  • For 2-year matric courses of NCVT / SCVT / KGCE candidates, minimum 50% aggregate marks required in the qualifying examination.
Procedure for submitting the application :
  • Complete the “ONE-TIME REGISTRATION” by paying the fee online.
  • Log in using the registered mobile number or registration number and OTP to access the candidate’s dashboard.
  • Fill out the required category of applications online.
  • Upon successful submission of the application, candidates can print the application anytime.
  • For assistance, contact the Help Desk established at any Polytechnic College.
  • View all applications in the candidate’s dashboard.
  • Hard copies of applications are not required except for Management seats:
    • Candidates seeking admission for management seats in Aided colleges and Self-Financing colleges must submit a separate application online through the link “Application to MANAGEMENT QUOTA seats” in the Admission Portal and submit a hard copy of the application to the respective institution.
    • Applications for management quota will not considered for selection under Government seats. Candidates wishing to considered for Government seats must submit an online application as mentioned in clause 9.7.
  • Providing incorrect information in the application may result in the forfeiture of candidature. The Department of Technical will not held responsible for any inconvenience caused due to incorrect or incomplete application forms.

Selection of Candidates :
For +2 or equivalent / VHSE candidates : Selection based on the index score calculated.
  • Index Score = A + B + C + T
  • A: Percentage of marks in Physics
  • B: Percentage of marks in Mathematics
  • C: Percentage of marks in Chemistry/other relevant mandatory additional course
  • T: Percentage of Total Marks of all subjects in the mark list of both years combined
For Candidates who have passed 2 years courses of NCVT / SCVT / KGCE :
  • Selection based on the index score calculated as follows:
  • Index Score = Percentage of the total score in the NCVT / SCVT / KGCE examination of both years combined
  • Candidates passing 2 years courses of NCVT / SCVT / KGCE eligible for admission to any branch of Engineering and Technology
Indian Citizenship of Kerala Origin :

To prove Indian Citizenship of Kerala origin for admission eligibility, candidates must provide one of the following certificates:

  • Relevant page of Secondary School Leaving Certificate / Passport / Birth certificate from competent authority showing place of birth in Kerala.
  • Relevant page of Secondary School Leaving Certificate / Passport / Birth certificate from competent authority of either parent showing place of birth in Kerala, along with a valid certificate specified in Table III, Clause 9.8, establishing the relationship between parent and candidate.
  • Certificate from Village Officer / Tahsildar confirming candidate, father, or mother’s birth in Kerala.
  • Certificate in the format provided in Annexure VII from competent authority, demonstrating that the candidate’s parent an All India Service officer allotted to Kerala cadre.
