Procedure for Admission to PM SHRI Schools :
- Application Process : Schools must self-apply through the online portal, which opens quarterly for the first two years.
- Eligibility Criteria : Elementary (Class 1-5/1-8) and Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools (Class 1-10/1-12/6-10/6-12) managed by Centre/State/UT Governments or local authorities with UDISE+ codes.
- Selection Stages :
- Stage 1 : States/UTs sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement NEP and commit to supporting selected schools.
- Stage 2 : Schools are identified based on UDISE+ data, meeting minimum benchmarks for eligibility.
