The app is available in several languages, and users can register with ease. The Sarathi Parivahan Sewa portal makes it easier to apply online, upload documents, and track the status of driving licenses and vehicle registrations.

Utilizing the VAHAN and SARATHI software, the platform, which has over 1,300 computerized RTOs, standardizes procedures and makes services available across the country. Through stringent online verification, this initiative minimizes fraud while saving time and effort in obtaining licenses and registrations.

The Parivahan Sewa Portal provides online services for vehicle and license management. It offers information on Driving Licenses (DL), Vehicle Registration Certificates (RC), E-challans, and more for users in India.

Steps for Online Tax Payments :

1. Log in at the Parivahan Sewa official website.
2. Select ‘Pay Vehicle Tax’ under ‘Online Services’.
3. Enter your registration number and chassis number, then generate an OTP.
4. Choose ‘Tax Mode’ and provide permit details if needed.
5. Confirm the payment amount and select your payment method.

DL Slot Booking Process :

1. Select ‘Driving Licence Related Services’ under ‘Online Services’.
2. Choose your state from the dropdown menu.
3. On the agency page, select ‘DL Test Slot Booking’.
4. Enter your application information (Application Number or Learner Licence Number), verification code, and date of birth.

Documents Needed for Online Driving Licence Application :

• Training Curriculum : Created by the Union Ministry of Roads and Motorways. Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) training lasts 4 weeks, including 29 hours of practical training and theoretical lessons.

• Pick your state from the dropdown menu in the new tab that appears.
• Select the type of licence you want to apply for.
• Fill out the application form with the necessary information and upload the required documents. Click ‘Submit’.
• After submitting, you will receive a Web Application Number to track your application. Expect an SMS notification once processing is done.
• Visit your local RTO to verify your documents, pay the application fees, and finish the licensing process.

How to Apply for a Driving Licence Offline ?

1. Obtain Form 4 from your state’s transportation website.
2. Fill out the application form with the required details.
3. Attach the necessary documents and submit the form at the RTO.
4. Schedule a driving permit test and pay the required fee.

Parivahan Sewa e-Challan :

Check Challan Status :

• Visit the eChallan System on the Parivahan Sewa website.
• Under ‘Check Internet Services,’ click ‘Check Challan Status’.
• Enter your Challan Number, Vehicle Number, or DL Number along with the Captcha code, then click ‘Get Information’ to see your status.

Online Challan Payment :

1. Go to the E-Challan Parivahan website and select ‘Check Challan Status’.

2. Fill in the required details and Captcha code, then click ‘Get Information’ to see your e-challan status.

3. Click ‘Pay Now’ in the payment section, select your payment method, and finish the transaction.

4. You will receive a confirmation message and transaction ID on your registered mobile number.

Parivahan Sewa RC Status Check Online :

• Visit the Parivahan government website and select ‘Vehicle Related Activities’ under ‘Online Services’.
• Choose your jurisdiction from the dropdown menu on the new page.
• Enter your vehicle registration number and select the state RTO.
• Click ‘Know Your Application Progress’ and provide your RC application number.
• Enter the Captcha code and click ‘Submit’ to check your RC status.

How to Update Driving Licence Online ?

1. Go to the Parivahan government website and choose ‘Driving Licence Related Services’ under ‘Online Services’.

2. Select the right option from the dropdown menu.

3. Click ‘Apply for Change of Location’ and then ‘Continue’.

4. Fill in your Driving Licence Number and Date of Birth.

5. Click on ‘DL Information’ to confirm your details.

6. Choose your RTO and click ‘Proceed’.

7. Check the box to ‘Update DL Address’ and select ‘Permanent’, ‘Present’, or ‘Both’ address options.

8. Complete the application and pay the necessary fees to update your address.

• Obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the relevant RTO.
