Nurses can register individually through the NRTS portal or via agency help, which speeds the authentication of biometric data and certificate verification. This program guarantees that each nurse in the nation has a unique identity and makes it easier to trace and manage nursing workers effectively across the nation.

Registration Methods :

1. Individual Registration :

• Go to nrts.indiannursingcouncil.gov.in to fill out the nurse registration form.
• After submitting, visit the P.N.R.C for biometric verification and certificate checks, which must be done at the P.N.R.C.

2. Agency Registration :

• Attend a local camp with your nursing and experience certificates.
• You don’t need to go to the P.N.R.C for biometric checks or certificate verification.

NUID Registration Instructions :

a. Mandatory Enrollment : All registered nurses (ANM, GNM, B.Sc. Nursing), including those studying or working abroad, must enroll for NUID.

b. District Operations : There will be registered centers available in every district. Regularly check the P.N.R.C website for updates and schedules.

c. Local Registration : Candidates should register at local district camps where they work or study, not in other districts.

d. Previous Registrations : Candidates who have registered online for NUID will be contacted soon by P.N.R.C for the next steps.

Nurse Registration Steps :

1. Visit the Website: Access the NRTS portal.
2. Register: Click on New User to create an account with a user ID and password.
3. Select Role: Choose Nurse with NUID for this process.
4. Fill the Form: Enter your NUID number, which will automatically fill in your name, email, and phone number.
5. Complete Registration: Provide any other necessary information and click Submit.
6. Return to Login: After registering, click Back to login.

Login Steps :

1. Enter your username, password, and CAPTCHA to log in.
2. Choose Renewal Process from the left menu.
3. Type in the CAPTCHA and click Submit to see your information.

Renewal Steps :

1. Click on Renew button.
2. A pop-up will appear; click Yes to proceed.
3. A confirmation message will show up.

Payment Steps :

1. Click on Go for Renewal Payment.
2. Use Mozilla Firefox for making payment.
3. Pick your payment method and agree to the terms.
4. Click Submit; a success message will appear.
5. Click on Please continue.

Steps for NUID Card Renewal :

1. Go to the NRTS portal at nrts.indiannursingcouncil.gov.in.
2. Select NEW USER to create a user ID and password. Choose “Nurses with NUID” during registration.
3. Enter your NUID number and complete the form. Click the SUBMIT button.
4. After registering, click “back to login.” Enter your username, password, and captcha to log in.
5. Under the Renewals menu on the left, choose Renewal Process. Enter your details and click the RENEW button.
6. Click the ‘Go for RENEWAL PAYMENT’ button. Use the ONLINE Payment Gateway (pay.gov Payment Method) to pay the fee.
   • Renewal Fee : ₹500 (as per INC Gazette Notification, 2019)
   • Late Renewal Penalty : ₹5000 (if renewed over 6 months after the last validity date)
   • Browser Recommendation : Use Mozilla Firefox for payment.
7. After payment, you’ll see a page to authenticate your Aadhaar using OTP.
8. Once Aadhaar is authenticated, click the SUBMIT button. Your data will be sent to SNRC.
9. Allow 30 days after submitting your data. You can then download your renewed NUID card, NUID passbook, and NUID renewal certificate from the NRTS portal by logging in.

Enrollment and Registration :

NRTS Enrollment : Getting enrolled in NRTS is not the same as getting a license from the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The INC helps State Nursing Registration Councils (SNRCs) build a central online system for nursing records. SNRCs are still in charge of issuing practice licenses.

Comparison with Current Registration: The NRTS registration process is similar to what SNRCs currently do. The main difference is that current practices are moving to the NRTS platform. Each nurse will still get an RN /RM number from the SNRCs, which acts as their legal license to practice, along with their NUID.

License and Renewal :

Legal License Status : Being enrolled in NRTS does not give a legal license to practice nursing.

License Renewal Process : The SNRCs will continue to manage license renewals as they do now. The responsibility for renewing licenses lies with the SNRCs and not with the INC.

Foreign Degree Verification :

Verification Process : SNRCs will verify foreign nursing degrees, but only after they have received approval for equivalency from the INC.

Employment Link :

Employment Connection: The main purpose of the NUID is to create an active register of nurses. It is not currently connected to job opportunities in government or private sectors.

Reciprocal Registration Facilitation :

Reciprocal Registration Ease :

• NRTS makes reciprocal registration easier.
• Only those with an NUID can use this feature.
• Candidates must apply online to the SNRCs for a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• SNRCs will issue the NOC online to the registrar where the candidate wants to register, using biometric verification.
• This can usually be done within a week if everyone acts promptly.

Aadhaar Self-Authentication via OTP Steps :

1. Click on Aadhaar Authentication by Self (Through OTP).
2. Read and agree to the authentication terms.
3. Click the GET OTP button.
4. An alert will confirm that the OTP was sent to your registered mobile.
5. Type in the OTP received on your phone and click Verify OTP.
6. A success message will confirm that the OTP is verified.
