ITBP SI Hindi Translator Recruitment – Application Fee :

Eligibility Criteria for the ITBP Sub Inspector (Hindi Translator) :
al Qualification :
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory subject OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory subject.
- Master’s degree in any subject, provided English was the medium of instruction and Hindi was a compulsory subject at the degree level.
- Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, recognized by the government.
- At least two years of relevant translation experience.
Age Limit : Applicants must between 18 and 30 years old.

Selection Process for the ITBP SI Hindi Translator Post :
Physical Tests : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) conducted initially to assess candidates’ physical capabilities as per ITBP standards.
Translation Skill Assessment : Candidates who clear the physical tests proceed to a written examination that evaluates their proficiency in translating between Hindi and English, a crucial skill for the Hindi Translator role.
Verification and Medical Examination :
- Document Verification stage follows the written examination, where candidates’ educational qualifications and other credentials are thoroughly examined.
- Qualified candidates undergo a Detailed Medical Examination to ensure they meet the required health standards for the position.
- If necessary, a Review Medical Examination may conducted to further assess the candidates’ medical fitness.

Merit List :
- Preparation : After the completion of the written examination, a merit list will prepared for each category (UR, SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, and Ex-servicemen) based on the candidates’ marks obtained in the written test.
- Shortlisting : Candidates will shortlisted based on merit for the next stages, which include verification of original documents and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
- Number of Candidates : The number of candidates examined will match the number of vacancies, adjusted for the average failure rate in DME/RME based on past experiences. There will no reserve list.
Adjustment of Reserved Vacancies :
- General Category : SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and EWS candidates who qualify based on their own merit (without relaxed standards) will not adjusted against reserved vacancies. They will accommodated in the general vacancies according to their position in the overall merit list.
- Reserved Vacancies : Reserved vacancies will filled separately from eligible SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and EWS candidates who are lower in merit than the last general candidate but are otherwise suitable for appointment under relaxed standards.
Recruitment of Ex-Servicemen :
- Vacancies : Vacancies reserved for Ex-servicemen or those remaining unfilled due to lack of eligible or qualified candidates will filled from non-Ex-servicemen candidates based on the merit list of respective categories.
Resolution of Tie Cases :
- Criteria :
- In case of a tie in marks, the candidate older in age will ranked higher in merit.
- If the tie persists, the candidate whose name comes first in alphabetical order (English) will given preference.
