SELECTION PROCEDURE :
- In case of a large number of applications, GSO reserves the right to limit the number of candidates based on their percentage of marks obtained.
- The details of shortlisted candidates, along with the interview schedule, will posted on the GSO website at igcar.gov.in/gso.
- Shortlisted candidates must bring original certificates of their date of birth, educational qualifications (including year-wise mark sheets), registration and experience, along with one set of self-attested copies of certificates and a copy of the application for the interview.
- Any amendments or corrigenda will communicated through notifications on the GSO website exclusively.
How to apply ? ( OFFLINE MODE )
- Download the application form from the GSO website and fill it out in Microsoft Excel without altering the format.
- Email the completed application form to [email protected] before the specified deadline. Multiple applications will result in rejection.
- Before filling out the application form in Microsoft Excel, ensure that the Macro option is enabled. This can done by following the steps: Open Microsoft Excel, Click the File Menu / File tab, Click Excel Options, Click Trust Center, Click Trust Center Settings, Click Macro Settings in the left pane, Select Enable all macros, Click OK, Close all running applications, and restart Excel.
- Make sure that the candidate’s photo and signature are clearly visible in the preview when filling out the application. If the photo / signature is too small or not visible, it indicates that they do not meet the required format and will rejected.
- After submitting the online application form, candidates must print a copy and bring it to the interview.
- Applications must in Excel format only. Those received in other formats will rejected.
- Any incomplete or inaccurately filled applications may lead to the cancellation of the candidate’s candidacy for the interview.
General Guidelines :
- Selection for the mentioned posts is purely on a temporary basis, with the maximum appointment period being six months. However, such temporary appointments shall not exceed 89 days at a time.
- Selected candidates will provided with hostel accommodation upon taking up the appointment, on a payment basis if required. They will also entitled to House Rent Allowance (HRA) if they arrange their own accommodation.

1. General Duty Medical Officer / Casualty Medical Officer in the grade of Scientific Officer / C(M) :
- Number of Posts : 7 (Seven)
- al Qualification : M.B.B.S. Degree from a recognized with one year experience, along with registration with Medical Council of India. Note: Mandatory Internship period will not counted as experience. Candidates with institutional experience will preferred.
- Consolidated Monthly Pay : Rs.106380/- (Excluding HRA of Rs. 5610/-)
- Age Limit : Not to exceed 50 years as on the date of Interview.

- Nursing ‘A’ Certificate with 3 years experience in Hospital or Nursing Assistant Class III & above from Armed forces.
