How Does the Scheme Work ?

The Gruha Jyothi Scheme operates simply and efficiently:

• Free Electricity : Households eligible for the scheme receive free electricity up to 200 units per month.
• No Bill for Low Consumption : Households consuming less than 200 units per month will not have to pay any electricity bills.
• Subsidy for Higher Consumption : For households consuming more than 200 units per month, the scheme provides a subsidy equal to the cost of the first 200 units of electricity. Households only pay for consumption above 200 units.
