DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2024
The Directorate of Technical (DoTE), Maharashtra, is expected to release the registration for Maharashtra Polytechnic admissions in the first week of June 2024. Candidates must review the eligibility criteria before applying. The admissions process is based on a merit list derived from candidates’ class 10 results. Admission dates and details will be available on this page. The authorities will prepare a merit list for polytechnic aspirants in Maharashtra, and seats will be allotted accordingly. Eligibility Conditions and Requirements for Admissions :
1. Diploma in Engineering and Technology
A) First Year of Post SSC
- Maharashtra State, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh Migrant Candidates:
- Must be an Indian National.
- Passed 10th Std. /SSC or equivalent with at least 35% aggregate marks.
- Non-Maharashtra candidates eligible for Institute quota only.
- NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf, Foreign Nationals:
- Passed 10th Std. /SSC or equivalent with at least 35% aggregate marks.
- Any other criteria as defined by the appropriate authority.
B) Direct Second Year of Post SSC
- Maharashtra State Candidates :
- Must be an Indian National.
- Passed 10+2 with Physics /Mathematics /Chemistry /Computer Science /Electronics /IT /Biology /Informatics Practices /Biotechnology /Technical Vocational subject /Agriculture /Engineering Graphics /Business Studies /Entrepreneurship (Any three).
- OR 10th + (2 years ITI) for admission to Second Year Diploma in ANY branch.
- Non-Maharashtra candidates eligible for Institution quota only.
C) Post HSC in Surface Coating Technology
- Maharashtra State, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh Migrant Candidates:
- Must be an Indian National.
- Passed HSC Science with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Non-Maharashtra candidates eligible for Institution quota only.
- NRI /OCI /PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf, Foreign Nationals:
- Passed HSC Science with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Any other criteria as defined by the appropriate authority.
2. Diploma in Pharmacy :
- Maharashtra State Candidates :
- Must be an Indian National.
- Passed 10+2 (science stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology /Mathematics.
- OR Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
- Non-Maharashtra candidates eligible for Institution quota only.
- NRI /OCI / PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf, Foreign Nationals :
- Passed 10+2 (science stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology /Mathematics.
- OR Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
3. Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology
- Maharashtra State, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh Migrant Candidates :
- Must be an Indian National.
- Passed 10+2 / HSC or equivalent with at least 35% aggregate marks.
- Non-Maharashtra candidates eligible for Institution quota only.

- Higher percentage of marks in Mathematics at SSC preferred first
- If tie persists, higher percentage of marks in Science at SSC considered
- Next preference is for higher percentage of marks in English at SSC
- If tie remains, passing HSC in Science stream considered
- If tie still remains, passing HSC with Minimum Competency Vocational Course considered
- Next preference is for candidates with ITI Trade of 2 Years duration
- Passing Intermediate grade drawing examination considered last option
