Notification and Application Form Release :

Documents Required for Kerala GNM :

To accompany your application, ensure you have the following documents ready :

1. SSLC Certificate / Birth Certificate
2. Plus Two or equivalent qualification certificate
3. Caste / Income certificate (for those applicable)
4. Disability Certificate
5. Original Challan Receipt
6. Transfer Certificate in case of district change

Selection Criteria for Kerala GNM :

1. Selection Criteria for General Nursing Course Applicants :
   • Applicants who did not opt for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects in their +2 or equivalent exams can still considered if their total marks out of 600 are competitive enough.
   • Those who score higher marks in any three subjects excluding optional subjects will given preference.
   • In case of tie, additional marks in English will considered.
   • Preference is also given based on age for candidates with higher age at the time of birth date.
2. Sports Quota:
   • Applicants applying under the sports quota must recognised as eligible by the Kerala State Sports Council.
   • Applicants must submit their application to the secretary of the Kerala State Sports Council in Thiruvananthapuram.
   • Only applications endorsed by the State Sports Council will considered.
   • The recommendation of the district secretaries of the Sports Council for the recognised spots in the respective districts will taken into consideration.
   • Only those who have provided birth certificates and photographs to the school principal are eligible for admission.
3. Selection Criteria for Admission to the Asylum Nursing School:
   • Applicants for the SC / ST division who are eligible for every district and who have not applied for the same in the same division are eligible for the T seats.
   • Those who have not applied in the ST division are eligible for the S category.
   • If there are no applicants in either category, admissions are provided based on general merit.

Military Divisions included in the paramilitary category :

There has been an evacuation of seats to Malappuram district. Applicants to the third seat should apply to the principal of the Gov. Nursing School, Manjeri, Malappuram.

2. In each district, seatsdivided into 60% merit quota and 40% management quota. Seats under the merit quota recommended by the Sports Council for girls and by the State Service Board for the children of deceased military /naval /air force personnel and government service personnel.
