The Delhi Directorate of (DoE) has completed the first phase of online registration for admission to Delhi government schools for class 10 and 12 for the Academic Session 2024-25. According to the DoE announcement, online registration forms were available through the official DoE website at edudel.nic.in. The first phase of registration, Cycle-I, began on April 8th and concluded on April 17th, 2024.

How to Apply for Delhi Government School Admission 2024-25 :

– Visit the official Department of website at edudel.nic.in.
– Access the “Government School Admission for the Session 2024-2025” section on the homepage.
– Click on the online form link and register to generate login credentials.
– Log in with the provided credentials and fill out the application form.
– Upload all necessary documents required for admission to Delhi Government Schools.
– Submit the application and download a copy for future reference.

Three Cycles for Delhi Government School Admission Form :

1. Cycle-I (April 8th to April 17th, 2024) :
– Early Applicants : Provides an early opportunity for admission.
– First Allotment : Allotted schools for Cycle-I applicants displayed on April 29.

2. Cycle-II (May 15th to June 15th, 2024) :
– Second Chance : Opportunity for those who missed Cycle-I or reconsidering choices.
– Second Allotment : Allotted schools for Cycle-II applicants displayed on June 27.

3. Cycle-III (July 10th to July 31st, 2024) :
– Final Opportunity : Available for late applicants or those needing more time.
– Third Allotment : Allotted schools for Cycle-III applicants displayed on August 12.

Requirements for Filling Out Delhi Government School Admission Form :

Personal Details : Child’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, residential address.

Optional Information : Aadhaar Number/UID of the child, bank account details.

Essential Documents : Date of Birth Certificate, proof of residence in Delhi, caste certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if needed).

Delhi Government School Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria : 

Residence Criteria : Admission open to children residing in Delhi.

Schools Eligible for Admission : Students admitted in Govt. Schools under Directorate of except RPVVS, SOSE, and SoE.

Application Process :
– Fill out the attached registration form (Annex-A) along with Admit Card (Annex-B) and submit to any nearby school.
– Ensure receipt acknowledgement is provided.

Age Criteria :
– Follow circulars regarding age criteria for admission.
– Regular students passing the previous class during 2023-24 exempt from age criteria.

Passing Criteria : Students must secure minimum 33% marks in each subject separately and in aggregate to pass CAT.

Documents Required for Approval of DDE (District) for Admission in Class X :

i. Mark sheet of Class IX.
ii. Result of Common Admission Test for Class X.
iii. Countersigned School Leaving Certificate of Class IX / X from a recognised school.
iv. Residence proof of Delhi, which can be any of the following documents :

• Ration Card issued in the name of parents with the child’s name.
• Domicile certificate of the child or parents.
• Voter ID card of parents or child.
• Electricity bill / MTNL telephone bill / water bill.
• Bank Passbook in the name of child or parents.
• Aadhaar Card of the child or parents.
• Passport in the name of child or parents.

Documents Required for Approval of DDE (District) for Admission in Class XII :

i. Mark sheet of Class X.
ii. Mark sheet of Class XI.
iii. Certificate for SC / ST / Divyangjan / Minorities / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ Kashmiri Migrants and students with I / II / III positions in National Games (if applicable).
iv. Result of Common Admission Test for Class XII.
v. Countersigned School Leaving Certificate of Class XI / XII from a recognised school.
vi. Residence proof of Delhi, as mentioned in point 18 (iv) under Guidelines for DDE (District).

Admission Criteria :

For Class XII : The candidate should have completed Class XI at a recognised school as a regular student during the academic year 2023-24, with the required subjects. Additionally, the candidate must have achieved the minimum marks in Class X necessary for the chosen stream, as indicated in the provided table :

Additional Requirements
– Must have passed Class X from CBSE or equivalent board
For Economics as a subject, minimum 45% aggregate required
– For Maths as a subject, minimum 50% required in Maths/Basic Maths/Std. Maths

Exam Format Delhi Government School Admission 2024-25 :

– Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format.
– Class X : Question Booklet includes English, Hindi, Science, Social Science, and Maths.
– Class XII : Subject-wise Question Booklet provided. Stream-wise test conducted.
– Commerce Stream : English, Maths, Accountancy, Economics.
– Science Stream : English, Maths, Physics, Biology, Chemistry.
– Humanities Stream : English, Hindi, Pol. Science, Economics, History, Geography.
– Mandatory to attempt at least one language along with three elective subjects for Class XII.

Admit Card Delhi Government Schools :

Admit Card Issuance :
– DDE (District) to issue admit cards only to eligible students after scrutinising applications.
– Photograph on Admit Card to be attested by concerned DDE (Dist.) / Nodal Incharge.

Admit Card Distribution :

– Admit cards to eligible applicants distributed on 07-05-2024 in registered schools.
– DDE (District) / Nodal Incharges to ensure collection of signed Admit Cards by 06-05-2024.
