Cm Atmanirbhar Assam Scheme
The Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan, was introduced by the Assamese government on September 12, 2023. With the aim of encouraging young entrepreneurship. This initiative was led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. By offering new and aspiring entrepreneurs strong financial and policy support, this project seeks to reduce unemployment.
The program aims to empower young people by providing them with chances for self-employment, which will promote socioeconomic development and help Assam become more self-sufficient. The program would target 2 lakh beneficiaries over the following two years, with 1 lakh beneficiaries in FY 2024–25 and another 1 lakh beneficiaries in FY 2024–25. Through strengthening Assam’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, this project is anticipated to benefit people on a personal level as well as advance the state’s overall development.
