⁠Clat Registration 2025

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the schedule for CLAT 2025. The application form for CLAT 2025 will be available on consortiumofnlus.ac.in starting July 15, 2024. Aspiring candidates can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by 22 NLUs and other participating institutes until October 15, 2024.

The registration fee for CLAT 2025 is Rs. 4,000 for general candidates and Rs. 3,500 for SC, ST, and BPL category candidates. The application process involves five steps: online registration, providing personal information, educational qualifications, selecting exam centres, and specifying reservation preferences including CLAT NLU preferences.

CLAT 2025 is scheduled to be held on December 1, 2024, in offline mode across approximately 131 exam centres nationwide. The exam will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (2:00 PM to 4:40 PM for PwD candidates). The scores of CLAT will be accepted by 24 NLUs and over 60 other law schools across India.

Steps to Complete CLAT 2025 registration :

  • Log on to the official website of CLAT: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • Click on the CLAT 2025 link displayed on the homepage.
  • Select the “New Registration” tab.
  • Fill in CLAT registration details including contact number, email address, chosen password, and other required information.
  • Enter the One Time Password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number and verify your account to activate your CLAT registration.
Steps to fill out the CLAT 2025 application form :
  • CLAT 2025 Registration: Visit the official website of Consortium of NLUs – consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Complete the registration process.
  • Filling out the Detailed Application Form: Provide personal information, educational details, and other required information.
  • Uploading Documents: Upload the scanned copies of required documents such as photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), P.W.D certificate (if applicable), and BPL certificate (if applicable).
  • Updating NLU Preferences: Choose and rank the NLUs according to your preference for admission.
  • Application Fee Payment: Pay the application fee online through the specified payment gateway.
  • Submission of Application Form: Review all the filled-in details and submit the application form before the CLAT 2025 application deadline.

CLAT 2025 Syllabus and Exam Pattern for UG Programs :
Section Details
Overview UG-CLAT 2025 evaluates comprehension and reasoning skills. It is a 2-hour test with 120 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each). Negative marking of 0.25 for wrong answers. Subjects include English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
English Language – Passages of about 450 words from fiction /non-fiction.  – Questions test comprehension, inference, summary, comparison, and vocabulary.
Current Affairs /General Knowledge – Passages of up to 450 words from news /journalistic sources. – Questions on current events, arts, culture, international affairs, and historical events.
Legal Reasoning – Passages of about 450 words related to legal matters or public policy. – Questions test identification, application, and alteration of legal principles.
Logical Reasoning – Passages of about 450 words. – Questions on argument recognition, critical analysis, inference, relationships, analogies, and argument effectiveness.
Quantitative Techniques – Textual representations of numerical information. – Questions require information derivation, inference, and 10th standard mathematical operations (ratios, algebra, mensuration, statistical estimation).
Preparation – The Consortium provides guides, sample questions, model papers, instructional materials, and access to a learning platform. – Candidates advised to read quality newspapers and periodicals, and practice 10th standard math.
