2. Click on “CEIR Services” in the menu bar.

3. Choose “Check request status” from the drop-down list.

4. Enter your request ID on the new page.

5. Click “Submit” to view the status of your request.

Procedure To Do IMEI Verification :

i. Visit the official website of the Central Equipment Identity Register.

ii. Click on the application link from the homepage.

iii. Select “IMEI Verification” from the options provided.

iv. Enter your mobile number on the new page.

v. Click on “Get OTP” to receive an OTP on your mobile device.

vi. Enter the OTP in the designated box and click “Verify OTP”.

vii. Enter the IMEI number you wish to verify.

viii. Click on “Check” to initiate the verification process.

• Aadhar card, driving license, voter card, PAN card, or any other government-approved photo ID proof
• Invoice of the mobile
• FIR copy (in case of a stolen phone)

Methods to use KYM :

 

Procedures To Track Lost Phones :

1. File an FIR for the lost mobile handset, providing details about the device.

2. Upon successful police verification, obtain a copy of the FIR.

3. Contact the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) via helpline number 14422 to report the loss.

4. The DoT will proceed to blacklist the IMEI number, rendering the phone unusable.

Ways To Block The Mobile Set :

1. Through Online Registration Form :

• File an FIR for the stolen mobile phone.
• Obtain a duplicate SIM card for your previous mobile number.
• Fill out the Application Form available on ceir.gov.in.
• Submit all required documents such as the FIR copy and identity proof (e.g., Aadhaar card or voter ID card).
• Upon successful submission, a request ID will be generated. Keep this ID for future reference.

2. Check Through TSP (Telecom Service Provider) :

• Contact your telecom service provider directly to block the IMEI number.

3. Through Central Police :

• Report the stolen mobile to the local police authorities who can assist in blocking the IMEI number through official channels.

Fault Status :

1. Visit the official website of the Central Equipment Identity Register, ceir.gov.in.
2. Go to the homepage.
3. Click on the “Fault Status” link.
4. Enter the ticket ID and registered mobile number on the new page.
5. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
6. Enter the OTP in the provided box.
7. The status of the fault will be displayed on the screen.
