Modi Ministers

In India, the governmental system operates under a parliamentary structure, with the Prime Minister serving as the head of government. However, the Prime Minister is not solely responsible for overseeing all government departments. Instead, they are supported by a team of ministers to fulfill their duties.

On July 7, 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revamped his ministerial team for the first time since May 2019. This reshuffle saw the induction of several new faces, including members from his political coalition, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

At Rashtrapati Bhavan, a total of 43 Members of Parliament (MPs) took oath as Ministers. Among the fresh additions were Narayan Rane, Sarbananda Sonowal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Ajay Bhatt, Bhupender Yadav, Shobha Karandlaje, Sunita Duggal, and Meenakshi Lekhi. Furthermore in this article, we will discuss the cabinet ministers of India, including their current composition, the constitutional provisions governing them, and their significance in governance.

Only 10 major Department Cabinet Ministers have been inter-changed from the past 2019 term into the 2024 term.

Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar continues as the new foreign minister of India for the current term of 2024
