Assam Orunodoi Asoni 3.0 Scheme 2024

In order to empower women through financial support, the Assam government announced the Orunodoi Scheme on October 2, 2020. Under this scheme, the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system deposits Rs. 1250 directly into the bank accounts of about 27.61 lakh families each month. Because women are typically the primary carers in households, the initiative expressly targets them and makes sure they receive the payments on the tenth day of every month. The policy was first introduced by the current Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was the Finance Minister at that time. It is a major social program designed to increase the economic stability of women in Assam.
