Adarsha Vidyalaya Apply Online 2024-25
The Odisha Board of Secondary (BSE) has declared that the online registration for the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Entrance Test (OAVET) 2025 has officially begun. The letter states that the registration period will end on November 20, 2024. Whereas the OMAVET is only for direct entrance to Class VI, the OAVET permits lateral entry to Classes VII, VIII, and IX in addition to direct admission to Class VI.
From October 25 to November 20, 2024, interested candidates can register online. Additional information and instructions are accessible on the BSE Odisha website, www.bseodisha.ac.in.On October 24, 2024, the entrance exam application forms will be made available.
Students in Classes VI through IX who wish to apply can do so via the OAV admission portal at www.oav.edu.in.The notification also includes important information on the OAVET and OMAVET 2025, including eligibility, age restrictions, criteria, and other relevant elements.

The Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Entrance Test (OAVET) 2025 and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalaya Entrance Test (OMAVET) 2025 registration is now open, as announced by the Board of Secondary (BSE), Odisha.

Admission Levels :

Purpose : These entrance exams help assess students looking to enroll from Class VI to IX in Odisha’s Adarsha Vidyalayas.
Notification for OAVET & OMAVET 2025 :
- Single Application: Students can only apply for one OAV and one class each academic year.
- Native Block Requirement: Applicants must select an OAV in their home block.
- Class Availability: If the desired class isn’t offered in the local OAV, students may apply to any OAV in their district with available spots.
- If the class is full at the local OAV, applying to another OAV in the district is not allowed.
- Current Enrollment: Students already attending an OAV for a specific class cannot apply again.
- Residency Proof: Students can apply to their home block’s OAV even if they study elsewhere, but they must provide a residential certificate.
- Government Employee Wards: Children of Odisha State Government or State PSU employees can apply to the OAV in their home block or where their parent works.

OMAVET Application 2025
Intake Capacity :
- Each OMAV (Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalaya) class has 2 sections, with a maximum of 40 students in each.
- In Barbil, there will be 4 sections with 40 students each, following CBSE rules.
- Class VI is the primary entry point for OMAV, similar to the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) system.
- Admissions are available for Class VI and for Classes VII and VIII if there are open spots through lateral entry.
- Admission requires passing a common entrance test and meeting specific eligibility guidelines listed below.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Residency Requirement:
- Candidates must be permanent residents of Odisha.
- Children of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) employees can apply without these residency restrictions.
- al and Age Requirements:
- Class VI: Must have completed or be enrolled in Class V or VI during the 2024-25 school year. Age should be between 10 and 12 years as of March 31, 2025.
- Class VII: Must have completed or be enrolled in Class VI during the 2024-25 school year. Age should be between 11 and 13 years.
- Class VIII: Must have completed or be enrolled in Class VII during the 2024-25 school year. Age should be between 12 and 14 years.
- Age Relaxation for PwD Candidates:
- Candidates with disabilities can receive a 2-year extension on the upper age limit for all classes.
- School Requirements:
- Students must come from schools recognized by the State Government, ICSE, CBSE, or Odia Medium Private Institutions with a Certificate of Recognition (CoR) for the last class attended.
OMAV Entrance Test for Class VI :
- Eligible candidates include:
- Residents of OMC periphery villages or hamlets.
- Residents of the block that includes OMC periphery villages, but not those living in the periphery villages or hamlets.
- Children of current OMC employees.
- Candidates must submit valid proof of their residence or employment status.
Application Criteria :
- Single Application per Candidate : Each candidate may apply to only one OMAV and for just one class in a school year.
- Application Based on Residence: Applicants can apply to the OMAV for their native OMC periphery village, the block containing those villages, or any OMAV if they are children of current OMC employees.
- Restrictions for Current OMAV Students: Students already enrolled in OMAV cannot reapply.
- Eligibility for Out-of-Block Students: Candidates living in an OMC periphery village or block but studying elsewhere may apply if they provide a valid Residence Certificate.
- Category Assignment for Applicants:
- Students from periphery villages applying in another category will be placed in the periphery village category.
- Children of OMC employees will be categorized as “OMC employee wards.”
- Students from the block of OMC periphery villages will be assigned to the block category.
