- More than 5 acres : Eligible for a 5 HP or 7.5 HP pump.

- Water Source Depth : The water source must no deeper than 60 meters.
Phased Implementation :
The Maharashtra government plans to install 100,000 solar pumps in three phases:
- First Phase : 25,000 pumps
- Second Phase : 50,000 pumps
- Third Phase : 25,000 pumps
Eligibility Criteria for Farmers :
Farmers must meet the following criteria for MTSKPY :
- Have a reliable water source, such as a well or tube well.
- Not have an electricity connection for irrigation needs.
