IBPS has announced the recruitment for Probationary Officers (PO) with the application period open until August 21, 2024. This year’s recruitment drive, known as IBPS PO 2024, will fill 4,455 vacancies across 11 participating banks for the 2025-26 cycle. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invites eligible candidates to apply online for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-PO /MT-XIV). The IBPS PO exam, a yearly event since 2011, will be conducted in three stages: Preliminary, Mains, and Interview. The process began with the release of the official notification and online registration on August 1, 2024. - Graduation Degree : Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India. Those with equivalent qualifications recognized by the Central Government are also eligible.
- Proof of Qualification : Applicants must possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate proving their graduation status at the time of application. The percentage of marks obtained in graduation should be mentioned during registration.

IBPS PO Exam Centre :
- Centre Selection : Candidates can choose their preferred exam centres during the online application process.
- Centre Allotment : If preferred centres are unavailable, IBPS may assign a different centre.
- Authority : IBPS is responsible for adding or removing exam centres. Candidates cannot request changes in their allotted centres.

Interview Overview :
- Candidates who pass the Mains exam are invited for a face-to-face interview, which carries a maximum of 100 marks.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
- Interview duration: Approximately 15-20 minutes.
Interview Details :
- Conducted by a panel of bank officials.
- Questions may cover topics such as personal background, the banking sector, current affairs, and general awareness.
- Candidates should be well-dressed, confident, and prepared with all required documents.
IBPS PO 2024 Result :
- Result Release : Results will be published after each examination phase.
- Merit List : The final merit list will be prepared based on marks secured in the Online Main Examination and interview, in descending order.
- Appointment : Candidates in the merit list within the number of vacancies will be considered for appointment, subject to medical fitness.
Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Exam :
- Preliminary Exam Marks
- Marks from the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) are not included in the final score.
- Preliminary Exam is only for qualifying to the Mains Exam (Tier-2).
- Phase-2 and Interview
- Candidates must separately qualify for both the Mains Exam (Phase-2) and the Interview to be eligible for the final merit list.
- Weightage and Merit List
- The final merit list is based on a weighted score with a ratio of 80:20 for the Mains Exam and Interview, respectively.
- The aggregate score out of 100 determines the final merit list for each category.
- Candidates with the highest merit ranks in each category are selected.
