Contribution Made by Volunteers under Vidyanjali Initiative :

1. Depending on their interests and expertise, volunteers can contribute through:

• Participating in school services and activities.
• Providing assets, materials, or equipment to improve school infrastructure.

2. Categories of contributions include civil infrastructure, basic electrical infrastructure, classroom support materials and equipment, digital infrastructure for extracurricular activities, etc.

3. Contributions must not involve monetary support and can be made partially or fully as per the volunteer’s capacity.

• The Ministry of introduced Vidyanjali 2.0 to fortify schools through community and private-sector participation.
• Schools will connect with diverse volunteers including young professionals, school alumni, current and retired teachers, government officials, and other professionals.

Procedure to Become a Volunteer :

• Visit the official website of the Vidyanjali portal.
• Navigate to the homepage and click on “Become a Volunteer”.
• Select “Volunteer Registration” on the new page.
• Choose your category: Individual volunteer, NRI/PIO volunteer, NGO, or Organization.
• Enter required information such as full name, email, country code, mobile number, OTP.
• Provide Darpan ID and PAN number for NGOs if applicable.
• Agree to the declaration and click on “Register” to complete the registration process.

1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen residing permanently in India.

• Select “School Registration”.
• Enter UDISE and captcha code.
• Click “Submit” to complete school registration.

a. Schools will allocate designated man-hours for volunteering activities.

b. Volunteers must provide self-certification that any assets, materials, or equipment donated are legally owned and in good working condition.

c. Contributions can also include sponsorship of events or maintenance services, with a commitment to annual and regular upkeep.

• Enter state, district, block, school name, and status.
• Click “Submit” to view the required information.

c. Choose “Assets /Material /Equipment”.

d. Click “Contribute Now”.

e. Enter details like state or autonomous bodies, district or region, block, subcategory, and assets/material/equipment name.
