Rules of ISPL T10 Cricket Season 3

• Tip-Top Toss: In a departure from the conventional coin toss, team captains engage in a unique method by approaching each other with heel-to-toe steps. The captain who first steps on the foot of the opposing captain is declared the winner of the toss.
• Powerplay Structure: Each inning commences with a compulsory two-over powerplay, which restricts field placements. Furthermore, the batting team has the option to initiate a one-over powerplay at any point between the 3rd and 9th overs.
• 9 Street Runs: When a batsman strikes the ball out of the playing field and into the spectator area, they receive nine runs instead of the standard six.
• Tape-Ball Overs: Although standard tennis balls are predominantly used throughout the match, two specific overs per innings are bowled with a tape ball, introducing an additional layer of strategy.
• 50-50 Over: During the period between the 5th and 10th overs, the batting team may challenge a bowler (excluding those under 19 years of age) to a ’50-50 Over.’ A minimum target of 16 runs must be set for this over. If the target is met, 150% of the runs scored are added to the team’s total; if not, only 50% of the runs are counted.
• Team Composition: Teams are formed from players across five geographical zones: North, South, East, West, and Central India. Each playing XI is required to include at least one player from each zone, as well as one player under the age of 19.
