PMSSS Scholarship Types :
- PMSSS provides 5000 fresh scholarships annually.
- Scholarships are allocated based on the type of course:
- 2070 scholarships for General Degree Courses.
- 2830 scholarships for Professional / Engineering Courses.
- 100 scholarships for Medical Courses.
- Adjustments in the number of scholarships for Engineering and Medical Studies may occur within the total annual limit of 5000, considering any savings from fewer students opting for General Degree courses.
PMSSS 2024-25 Application Process :

- Select the ‘PMSSS 2024-25 Registration’ tab.
- Choose ’12th Registration (2023-24)’.
- Fill in required details and click ‘Register’.
- Log in with email ID and password.
- Enter necessary information, upload documents, and submit the form.
Eligibility Criteria for PMSSS :

Document Verification and Registration :
1. Visit the nearest Facilitation Centre in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) or Ladakh for document verification.
2. Upload verified documents on the Facilitation Center’s portal with stamps.
3. Obtain a document verification report promptly upon successful verification.
Choice Filling :
- Access the course preference window after completing registration and document verification.
- Note that the choice filling window will close on the specified date with no further changes allowed.
Merit List and Counselling :
i. Provisional merit list based on Class XII / Diploma results will published post results.
ii. Candidates on the merit list must attend counselling sessions.
iii. Seat allocation through online counselling based on merit and scholarship availability.
List of Eligible Institutions / Universities :
- View and select courses from a list of institutions / universities available in the candidate’s login.
- Scholarships are not applicable to institutions / universities not listed on the AICTE portal, except for specific categories.
Reservation Policies :
a. Adherence to reservation norms set by J&K and Ladakh UTs.
b. Reservations: SC (8%), ST (10%), SEBC (22%) including various sub-categories.
c. Horizontal reservation of 4% for Physically Handicapped (PwD) candidates with 40% disability and above, as per Central Government guidelines.
PMSSS 2024-25 Renewal Process :
- Scholarships under the PMSSS 2024-25 can renewed for subsequent academic years based on specific conditions.
- Renewal eligibility depends on the student’s good conduct and meeting attendance requirements set by their institution.
- Students failing to progress to the next academic level can retain the scholarship for the following year, but consecutive failures will result in forfeiture.
- For cases where a scholar cannot attend the annual exam due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, renewal is possible with a submitted medical certificate and supporting evidence.
- The Head of the Institution will review the medical certificate and circumstances to approve renewal if satisfied.
- Scholarship disbursement does not occur twice for the same academic year, even with renewal.
